Tylomelania sp. "Albino/Apricot " is a light Tylomelania variant with a grayish to creamy color gradient, which is often found online under the name "Albino" or "Apricot". These are our own offspring, which, unlike the frequently offered imported animals, have already become accustomed to our tap water. This strain is homozygous and is kept separately from other Tylomelania species.
Size for sale: Animals for sale have a minimum size of 2 cm without any damage to their shell.
General information on keeping and breeding: Tylomelania originally come from the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia, which is why the animals feel comfortable at temperatures between 24 and 30 °C. Tylomelania constantly graze the aquarium for new growth and grate up roots, dead plant remains or conventional fish food. Fortunately, they leave healthy plants and other aquarium inhabitants alone. There is no need to fear mass reproduction like with other snail species. The animals are dioecious, a female animal gives birth to about one more young animal per month. Some specimens can reach a size of up to 8 cm.
