Shipping policy
How are the shipping costs calculated?
We charge flat rates for both standard and express shipping, which cover the shipping label, insulated box, packaging materials and, if necessary, a heat pack. An overview of the shipping rates can be found in the table below:

How long does shipping take?
Delivery with standard shipping within Germany usually takes 1–3 days. For this reason, we only offer standard shipping from Monday to Wednesday. Delivery with express shipping within Germany usually takes one day. Packages are shipped Monday to Thursday with this option.
Where do you ship to?
We ship to all countries within the European Union.
How are the animals prepared for shipping?
The animals are packed with sufficient water and air in suitable transport bags. A small plastic net serves as a holding option during the journey. To avoid large temperature fluctuations, our animals are shipped year-round in stable insulated styrofoam boxes. At outside temperatures below 10 °C, additional heat packs are used, providing heat for 40 hours (72 hours for international shipments).
Which carrier is used?
We use DHL or DHL Express for shipping. Upon request, we can make alternative arrangements—please contact us in advance using our contact form.
Can I track the status of my shipment?
Yes. After receipt of payment, the shipping label is created and the tracking code or link will be provided to you.
What should I do if my delivery is delayed?
Of course, this is unfortunate, but it may occur in individual cases. If a shipment takes longer than the delivery time stated above, we will of course investigate the cause. If animals die due to delivery delays, you will be partially compensated. Please make sure to follow the documentation requirements for the arrival of the animals.
What should I do if animals die during shipping?
From experience, we can say that this happens very rarely. In order for us to provide compensation, it is absolutely necessary that the animals are documented immediately upon arrival in the sealed bag by photo. Animals that have already been placed in the aquarium and die will not be refunded.
